Seminar: HI deep surveys with FAST

Abstract : In this talk, I will begin by introducing HIFAST, a pipeline for calibrating and imaging HI data specifically for FAST. And discuss the quality of the HI data collected by FAST. Lastly, I will present some preliminary results from the comprehensive analysis of two ongoing HI deep surveys we are carrying on.

Bio: Professor in the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2008, Graduated from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and Max-Planck institute for astrophysics, Germany, and then worked at Durham University in the UK as a Newton International fellow. Since 2013,  move back and work at NAOC.  The research fields mainly cover the formation and evolution of the structure of the universe using numerical simulation,radio telescopes, AI  methods  et al.
