The First Shanghai Annual Astronomy Conference was recently held in Shanghai. The event brought together about 150 experts and scholars from leading institutions including Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and the Polar Research Institute of China.
The conference featured a rich and diverse program of reports, covering a broad spectrum of fundamental research frontiers from exoplanets, black holes, and galaxies to cosmology, as well as applied topics in the field of astronomy.
The opening address was delivered by Professor Yipeng Jing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the conference summary was presented by Professor Feng Yuan of Fudan University.
